Profhilo Injectibles v Dermal Fillers
Whilst the majority of dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, Profhilo is not a dermal filler but rather a new injectable that comes under the category called Bio-Remodelling. The molecule chains of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid are thermally stabilised and fused together to create a unique patented co-operative hybrid complex, forming a gel that spreads and becomes integrated into the skin, providing hydration, especially to the epidermis. Profhilo is BDDE-free with one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market (64 mg/2ml). As a result, Profhilo doesn’t just hydrate and boost the skin; it remodels the ageing and sagging tissue.
The Profhilo treatment is provided in two sessions with a four-week interval, with a third optional treatment after an additional eight weeks. It’s recommended that maintenance of the treatment can be provided every six months as required.
